Dear Mrs Mohd’s
Thank you for your email. I have booked you in to Temperance House from 5th February to 5th March 2015. Will it be just you and your 2 children? If so then I could offer you the studio flat which is only £390 per week. The main house is £750. Do let me know. Have you booked a ferry or will
you be flying from Glasgow? Again, do let me know so that I can I arrange transport from the airport or ferry terminal.
I am so sorry to hear about your husband. My husband, Chester, is still with us, though he really hasn’t been himself since the Unfortunate Incident with the hot air balloon. That was one of the reasons we moved to Islay after our whelk business in Bangor folded, the climate of the island
makes ballooning impossible and so Chester requires less medication.
I am a bit concerned about your box. I would be delighted to assist you in smuggling your savings out of Syria but I do wonder if it is wise to register it in my name as family treasure. Is it not possible that doing so would attract unwanted attention? Perhaps it would be best to register the box in my name as a consignment of whelks. A box of prime seafood would hardly be a cause for curiosity on Islay.
I look forward to your reply and to meeting you next year.
Ethel Trellis (Mrs)
