and leave Chester in charge of a whelk stall???????

Dear Mr. Wuddah

I hope you haven’t booked your flight to Wales yet. I have just this minute received a mail from your bank. All seems to be going very well, I now have all the documentation connected with the transfer, unfortunately there is a little problem. Mr. Aidoo wants me to fly to Ghana to sign some papers on 2nd December. This raises a number of practical difficulties, of which leaving Chester in charge of a whelk stall is but one.
It seems outrageous that in this age of electronic communication one should have to travel halfway around the world just to complete a simple business transaction. I haven’t been very impressed with Mr. Aidoo so far and would not be at all surprised if he has simply got his regulations muddled. I shall see what he has to say, meanwhile do you have any ideas as to how we might progress this without an elderly lady (that’s me) being forced to make an arduous journey?

I await your reply.

Kind Regards

Ethel.

thanks for the update

Dear Mrs. Trellis,

Thanks for the update. I am also very happy and appreciate all your efforts towards the conclusion of this transaction. By the grace of Almighty God, I will be looking forward to meet with you in your country for sharing of the funds by this weekend.

Please keep me further updated as soon as you hear from my cooperate office.

Best Regards

Mr.Frank.

It’s done – what can possibly go wrong?

Dear Mr. Wuddah

It is done! I have sent the requested documents to your bank and I imagine that the money should be transferred within days. Soon we will both be rich!

You idea of investing in property may have merit, it rather depends on whether one believes that property prices have bottomed out. I’m going for a celebratory drink with Mrs. Ogmore-Pritchard this evening, her husband used to be an estate agent before he got caught, so I’ll ask her for her opinion.

Kind Regards

Ethel

Frank’s plans for the future….

Dear Mrs. Trellis,

Thanks for the update. I intend to invest my own share over there in your country. Maybe through real estate or any profitable business you may advice me into, and I will entrust it under your supervision till I resign from my work within few months after the transfer of the funds to your account.

Please keep me further updated as soon as you hear from my cooperate office.

Best Regards,

Mr.Frank.

The

posted…

Dear Mr. Wuddah

I have received a reply from your bank asking me to fill out an “enclosed Wire Authorization Form” unfortunately no such form was enclosed. It would seem that your Mr. Gambah isn’t the only incompetent within your bank – are they all like that? I can see why you found it so easy to expropriate 3.5 million dollars!

I have written to them again requesting that they actually send the required form.

Kind Regards

Ethel Trellis (Mrs.)

Mrs T. can’t abide innefficiency…..

Dear Mr. Aidoo

Thank you for your replies. I had high hopes that perhaps the “Enclosed Wire Authorization Form” might be enclosed in your second email but alas, it was just a copy of the first.

This is hardly the sort of behaviour one expects from a reputable bank, if I wasn’t already doing so I’d be tempted to take my money elsewhere.

Please forward the Wire Authorization Form to me at your earliest convenience.

Kind Regards

Ethel Trellis (Mrs.)
