Reassuring words from Ethel

Dear Mrs Mohd’s

You are an optimist. I like that.
The money has been sent. Mr Lord Porch is either incompetent or dishonest.
I am sorry you couldn’t read the attachment, I shall go directly to Crab Cottage and try once more to get a scan of the receipt. Then we shall see what Mr Lord Porch has to say.
Please try not to worry too much, after all we do have Mr Lord Porch’s address.
Kind Regards,
Ethel

Mrs Mohds is concerned too

Ethel is concerned….

Mr Porch,

I am increasingly concerned by your silence. I know that Mrs Mohd’s holds you in the highest esteem, but I am beginning to have serious concerns. I have sent you a large sum of money and now you appear to have vanished.

Unless I hear from you by return I shall have no alternative but to contact The Authorities.

Yours,
Trellis.

Dear Mr Lord Porch,

My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. As I mentioned in my last email, Thursday night is Gin and Whelk Night at the Port Charlotte Village Hall. I fear I may have had one whelk too many, or perhaps it was the gin, either way things are a little hazy from about 8PM onwards.
Anyway, I have just been to see to Mrs Naughtie. I am sorry to say that I have to wonder if she is quite as computer literate as she claims to be, I asked her if I could have the scan in DPF format and she didn’t seem to know what I was talking about. Eventually she managed to produce the attached file. I hope it helps.
Having heard nothing further from you I have to assume that the money hasn’t been delivered. Did you return home last night and, if so, was there a card from the MoneyGram People? I assume it must be like a parcel delivery, they will try twice then you have to pick it up from the depot. Perhaps I should ask Mr McDonald.

Do let me know what is happening.

Kind Regards,
Ethel Trellis (Mrs)

(attached a very large unopenable file)

Dear Mr Lord Porch,

I have just returned from Crab Cottage, Mrs Naughtie was out at her cat training class but her son James allowed me to use her scanner. I don’t know what I was worrying about, the procedure was so simple a child could have done it. The resulting scan is attached to this email.

On Thursday evenings I usually attend a gin and whelk evening at the village hall so I will be away for a few hours, but I look forward to some positive news upon my return.

Regards,
Ethel Trellis (Mrs)

I didn’t imagine that you would set off for the airport without waiting for the money to arrive

Dear Mr Lord Porch,

As I have already told you, I ticked the “Home Delivery” box, the money will be delivered to 120 Belmont Road Liverpool Merseyside L6 5BJ. I didn’t imagine that you would set off for the airport without waiting for the money to arrive. I had best return to the Post Office to ask Mr McDonalds’s advice.
It’s all very well for you say “go to any scanning mechine close you and send a scan copy of the payment slip” , I am an elderly lady who has only recently got to grips with email and I live on a remote Scottish Island. I will see what I can do, Mrs Naughtie in Crab Cottage is fairly computer literate, she might be able to help.

Really Mr Porch, this whole thing has been appallingly organised from start to finish.

Yours,
Ethel Trellis (Mrs)
