I must now attend to my pigs, “The Empress” , my Gloucester Old Spot, has been a little off colour of late and if we are to have any hope of winning the best pig class at the forthcoming show I shall have to try to improve her appetite. Thank you for your interesting proposal. I am sure you will have had an overwhelming response to such an offer, but in the event that you have yet to locate a suitable partner, I should very much like to be considered for the position.
