Dear Ethel,

I had sent someone to deliver the balance of £375 to the lawyer and I was surprised to learn from the person I sent down that the lawyer claims not to have been able to receive any money from you through the Western Union because his assistant couldn’t get the money from the western Union office as no information about the transaction is on their record.

Please what is going on? Do get in touch with the lawyer immediately with the balance of £200 as he has £375 in his possession already and only waiting for the £200, to enable him proceed to get the relevant documents that will enable us proceed with the transaction..

Best regards,

Mr. Frank.

I knew that something of this nature would happen once we employed a lawyer..

Dear Mr. Ibekah

You have been sending your protocol officer to the Western Union office to collect £200, details as follows:

Sender: Mrs. Ethel Trellis

Name of Receiver: MISS BETHA MENSAH.

Address of Receiver: 57 Domi Road, Zuma Plaza, First Floor Suite 12,

P. O. box 20052 ,Accra – Ghana .

Test question: How is your family

Answer: Fine

control number : 6931552038

I very much doubt that you require a Western Union receipt in order to obtain the notarization document and if we are unable to trust each other then perhaps I should withdraw the payment and employ the services of another legal representative. I currently have no means of scanning documents since Arkwright , our ginger tabby, peed all over my scanner. If you are still unable to collect the money then I suppose I shall have to use the scanner at the library the next time I go into town to collect our rations.

I knew that something of this nature would happen once we employed a lawyer.

Yours

Mrs. Trellis

Madam,

I got your mail and understand there is a network problem. But note that it is very important I get the payment receipt with which you made the payment because I will need to present it at the court in order to obtain the notarization document and also to be sure about what I have been sending my protocol officer to the Western Union office for.

Mrs T. is perplexed

Dear Mr. Ibekah

This is rather disappointing, I had hoped to conclude the business today. The lady in the money agent’s did say that there had been recent “network problems” but that things “should be back to normal now” . The senders name was my own, Ethel Trellis, all other details were as previously discussed.

I can only suggest that you try again in perhaps an hour or so in case the previously mentioned “network problems” are the cause of the delay.

Do let me know how you get on.

Kind Regards

Ethel Trellis (Mrs.)

Attn: Ethel Trellis (Mrs.)

Madam,

My secretary have gone to the Western Union service to get the £200 you sent but she couldn’t get it, because the information wasn’t on their system.

Kindly, attach the payment receipt and indicate the names of the sender. Also, confirm from the Western Union agent, if the money was released for pick-up.

I hereby reconfirm the information of my protocol officer below ones again:

Name of Receiver: MISS BETHA MENSAH.

Address of Receiver: 57 Domi Road, Zuma Plaza, First Floor Suite 12,

P. O. box 20052 ,Accra – Ghana .

payment sent via Western Union

Dear Mr. Ibekah

Thank you for your mail. I have given the matter some thought and am reassured that you seem to be an industrious and honest sort of chap. I therefore wish to engage your services on the terms already agreed.

A friend of mine in Accra owes me a small amount of money and will therefore be delivering £375 in person. I have just returned from the Money Agent’s where I sent £200 via Western Union to Miss Betha Mensah. The money control number is 6931552038.

Please let me know as soon as you have received the payment and obtained the required documents.

Kind Regards

Reassuring words from Mr. Wuddah

Dear Ethel,

I so much appreciate your efforts towards the success of this project.

I want you to be rest assured that as soon as the attorney endorses the fund release order, the money would be in your account, latest Monday because it takes just 72hrs to credit the funds as soon as the transfer is made.

So, do not bother yourself about the fact that you had to borrow the money as you will be able to pay back with the interest and even show appreciation, on or before Monday.

Please keep me posted as soon as you send the £200 to the lawyer, so that I can send a confidant friend to give the lawyer the balance of £375 on your behalf.

Best regards,

Mr. Frank.

the loan shark

Dear Frank

Thank you for your reply. It is kind of you to offer to pay £375. I’ve managed to obtain £200 from Dai The Loan at an extortionate rate of interest, but if I repay it in full within 7 days I’m unlikely to suffer any physical violence. I shall go to the Money Exchange in the High Street first thing tomorrow morning and send £200 to Mr. Ibekah.

Kind Regards

Ethel
